Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • MK4 GTI MAF sensor wanted to test

    hey team

I need to borrow a MAF to suit a mk4 gti

i need to borrow a known good one to test if mine is faulty. if it works, i'm happy to pay for it, if it doesn't solve my problem i'll post it back.

I'm having issues with the car stopping in running.

So for I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, and crank angle sensor. VCDS is showing nothing remarkable and there are no fault lights.

I've been talking with Gav (h100vw) and the MAF is the next likely candidate.

I live in Geelong Vic and happy to pick up in the local area or metro Melb. I need to get my car running asap, as you can imagine.

If we need to do it by post I'm happy to pay for post both ways, and would like to use express parcel post.

    thanks, Stan
