Hey George Im runnint a vr6 clutch kit with a t4 single mass flywheel/G60 flywheel. Can also get kits from ecs but some people have different opinions on a lightened flywheel. Can get them with similar weight to the dual mass too. Around $500 it would cost I reckon.

I'd love to go for a standard sort of flywheel from a g60 or 16v (same I believe) but my trouble is finding one. I can get my hands on a vr6 clutch readily, but no dice with a flywheel well not locally that I know of. Any ideas?

t4 single mass flywheel or any 4 cylinder cable change box. Lots in Passats.

Oh wow, learn something new everyday. Did a little research and it says mostly tdi's had 228 smf flywheel, and so the hunt begins.

Hi fellas, just after a tiny bit more info from any enthusiasts and for future reference. So far I have found out these following cars have compatible smf 228mm flywheels. Please let me know if there's any more as I'm going to visit the wreckers tomorrow.

            T4 transporter
            16v abf/kr/9a motors
            Corrado g60
            97-99 passats.

            Is there anything else?

Not sure your 97-99 passats is right. I know the earlier ones, from 88 have the right FW if they came with a cable change/02A gearbox.

You can get a clutch and flywheel set from exedy direct. Not sure on rrp but staff price is $620 or so plus tax from repco
