  • GTI -> R32 brakes - Whats involved

    Thinking about getting some - Is it a straight swap?

  • #2
    Don't know if it's a straight swap, but you're gonna want to find out if the GTI wheels fit over the R32 front discs or if you have aftermarket rims, will they fit.
    I think DUB20V is the person to talk to about this since he bought his car with them and has since swapped to freaking awesome Porsche brakes.

                  Are we sure it fits straight on??

                  I heard somewhere I'd need spacers??

                    you will only need spacers dependant on your wheels offset to the hub / brakes.

                    if they dont fit, yes you do.. but majority of the time if you have 18s you will have no problems.
                    What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

                            Because most people haven't been in an R32 and then stomped on the brakes hard and then nearly had their head ripped off.
                            Adrian, those Porsche brakes must be pretty damn impressive, to upgrade from the R brakes.
