Stronger Replacement Oil Pans? + To sensor or not to sensor?

It's just a place off Alfred Street in Warragul, but if you're not a country bumpkin like I am I'm sure any place that does TIG welding will do it for you.

Something I'd suggest though is getting the plate longer at the front since it's already started gathering stuff between the sump and plate at the front. I feel like if I hit the front of the plate with something solid it'll rip the whole thing off instead of just putting another hole in the sump

Cool. It's good to know a price someone has paid to use as a guide. I've got a mate or two that can weld, but the question will be if they can do TIG welding properly.

If your not getting an oil level reading when empty possibly it's been coded out of the dash.
This means it could have been faulty and somewhere down the line it's been coded out
Worth checking.

That's a scary thought but it makes sense. I didn't know that can be done.
Guessing I'll need to get a VAGCOM or can it be done with any of the aftermarket options available out there?

I like the sump guard exactly what i was looking for as i cracked my sump on my 4motion on friday whils supporting th engine on a jack on the sump..it cracked even though i put folded up rags on the jack...better to crack whilst ive already got it jacked up ,rather than smashing it on something when driving.. ....Thanks for the picture otterspoor..Luckily we have an aluminium welder at work im going to make one up this week...willl post pics of the completed job..
