The transmission in my 2001 Bora will die at some point and will cost me a good amount of money to fix it. But i have found a replacement transmission and will put it in myself and was just wondering if anyone can direct me to a thread where it has been done before or could provide some assistance with getting it done? It is the 5 Speed auto box and has been an issue for a while and I've had enough with it
Does any have any knowledge on making this swap easier to do? Or should i just cut my losses and get rid of the car with the transmission as it is?
The transmission I am looking at is missing the bell housing but i was just going to use the one on my current one? Is that possible?
Any information or advice would be great!
