The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • Cheapest new front struts for a R32/Bora 4mo ? (For clearing defects)

As the title suggests, what is the cheapest struts you can get for the Bora 4mo's or R32 MKIV golfs?

I ask because my car has coils and are hard to get a roadworthy with as they are illegal and defectable.

I dont care about the quality of the strut, but I just want one that a mechanic and/or vicroads-idiot will clear a defect/rwc for.

    Appreciate any help!

Stock struts and springs would be best.
Otherwise find a new mechanic. I've cleared defects with both coils and unengineered air ride.
Coils are in a grey zone last time I checked, no where says they are illegal
    Bora gone
    Vento VR6
    MKIV GSW TDI
