  • Hit and Run

    Hi guys
Just thought id ask you all if you've ever experienced of someone hitting your car and running away?
Ive been driving for exactly one week now and someone has already hit and run my car twice and i am extremely annoyed.

Over the weekend someone pushed a trolley into my left rear door and quarter panel leaving a few small scratches, and yesterday someone turned across my front left quarter panel and part of my bumper leaving scratches and pushing it out of alignment.

I am very angry with this and plan on attempting to polish it out when Adelaide's weather decides to cool down being the hottest day on earth at the moment.

Money is tight so it annoys me more that i can't get it fixed properly asap but I'm going to save up a bit more and getting a few extra parts before i send it to get fixed.

    Cheers Nathan

Trolley and car park damage is a way of life for a daily driven car unfortunately. I've copped plenty of chips, bumper damage etc from similar.
What's sad is other people just don't care, or don't even notice what they have done.

Check out cars you park next to, if they look a mess generally the owner hasn't cared or them, which will mean they aren't going to care the slightest for yours either. Normally I park else where or at a far corner of a arpark in hope someone won't park near me

      i always do :/
It saddens me to think why someone would try and push a trolley between two cars when theres clearly not enough room.
I'm really annoyed about my front bumper though because it happened whilst parked on the street and no other cars were to be seen.

It sucks especially if you happen to be sitting in your car watching someone else park next to you. 9/10 they’ll be in a 4x4 and go super close to give you a heart attack. if they haven’t done that then they’ll open the doors up to finish it off !!

i know its terrible aint it.
but at least if you are sitting in the car at the time you get them to pay for the damage!

when they drive off theres no record of it even happening and you have to fix it out of pocket... my pocket is already empty

            Insert Pulp Fiction Here:

            Lance:
            Still got your Malibu?

            Vincent:
Aw, man. You know what some ****er did the other day?

            Lance:
            What?

            Vincent:
            ****ing keyed it.

            Lance:
            Oh, man, that's ****ed up.

            Vincent:
Tell me about it. I had it in storage for three years, it was out for five days and some ****less piece of **** ****ed with it.

            Lance:
They should be ****ing killed. No trial, no jury, straight to execution.

            Vincent:
Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that ******* doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it.

            Lance:
            What a ****er!

            Vincent:
            What's more chicken**** than ****ing with a man's automobile? I mean, don't **** with another man's vehicle.

            Lance:
            You don't do it.

            Vincent:
            It's just against the rules.
People are arseholes. Sadly there isn't much that can be done other that to try and be careful where you park. I try and park in end spots or ones with poles on one side or some other form of gap/protection. Even then I tend to park as far to one side as possible in these spaces to try and leave as much space as possible between me although that inevitably needs to the arsehat who parks next to me parking over the bloody line on my side anyway

My favourite parking spot at the train station is when I can get between one car reversed in and one straight in with both drivers doors on the outside. That way there is a decent chance that the driver is alone and doesn't open a door next to my car...

Plan B is to start walking everywhere and only drive on the weekend... but that isn't happening.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

              End of story haha..

I'm finding it rather difficult to comprehend how i got hit whilst parked on the street at my mates house
The street can fit 4 cars across it, it has only 3 houses in the street and is never busy. Why Me?

The guy also scratched the s*** out of my mirror which i only noticed this morning

Some prick backed into my car in the work car park. We're in the middle of nowhere so it had to be a colleague.

                      No note.

                        That suck's man :'(

As Dylan says, it's an awful part of owning and using a daily driven car.

My last car had a $3500 respray and it took less than 1 month for selfish & ignorant scum at my last job to smash their 4wd's door straight into the panel chipping off a nice 20cent coin worth of paint and dinting the door. (I know because it's a private carpark and the dings lined up to the height of the 4wd door and the damage on the edge)
Then two weeks later, I just parked my car at uni, and the plush toy filled Yaris next to me (Asian spec) started to drive out of their spot, when their braindead passenger decided to open their door and reclose it for some unknown reason, and in the process leaving a nice 15cm gash on my rear passenger door. By the time I backed out of the spot to chase them they were long gone.
After those incidents I gave up caring and lost track of the dings and scrapes other bastards did to that car. Within 2 years you could never tell it was resprayed.

Unfortunately my Bora 4mo isn't spared from carpark ****s either. Rear passenger door has a good 4 dints in it and my drivers side rear door was also hit by this ****head recently. I was seconds away from imbeding my foot into his headlight. Left a 2cm dent in my door.

People suck. I always park as far away from anyone as possible, the extra 2 minutes of walking is worth it. The one time I parked close to the entrance of a shopping center as I was in a rush, I returned to a door ding in the side of my preciously perfectly straight car.

So glad I have a different car I don't give a **** about to daily now.

Yep my wife and I were outside Malaya Corner Suunybank, waiting to be seated... this Aussie Bogan in a Red Commodore SS swipes the White Camry on his way into the parking space. He hets out looks at what he's done and is more concerned about the damage to his own front bumper, which is now hanging off! The Camry has Red paint along its left hand front door. But Camry has so many other war wounds that it hardly matters. Not the point, the Camry could well have been your car or mine. No note and off he went.
