Driving to Sydney tomorrow to pick up a cupra lip, and 2 wheels are getting dropped off tomorrow night.

Going to be a challenge completing the set but I'll get it done

Cheer for the comments guys! It's slowly coming a long.

One question, I went for a "spirited" drive the other day, and noticed afterwards that there was a slight knock/vibration in the rear end. It seems to happen when I change direction and stop/start. I jacked it up later and if I grabbed the lower control arm and shook it I could replicate the noise. I torqued all 4 arms up and took it for a drive, and it still made the noise.

What I'm wondering is, is this just normal heim joint noise happening? Or should I be looking at another cause? Only reason I ask is because I've had the arms installed for quite a while now, Would have done easy 2-3k kms on them and they have never made that noise.

I get a bit of noise from my front control arms but figured it was jut the security nut as they tend to come loose for some reason....

what do you mean by security nut Dyl?

on mine it threads into the control arm, then there is a second nut (to stop it undoing which is impossible anyway) but that rattles around sometimes.


different arm, but is yours similar setup?

oh right, the arms just have a bolt and self locking nut, but it still makes a noise somewhere.

Gonna take the car to my mates workshop and throw it on the hoist and shake some stuff to see whats moving haha.

I haven't personally, maybe shoot JedR32 to see if he has?

Maybe check your rear endlinks and swaybar bushings also??

Might give that a go, I'll make sure I check the endlinks and bushings as well, because I'm still running the oem ones.
