    Rebuilding a mk4 R32 in WA....

$7000?! If you can find someone to do the work and maybe chip in with some of your own time for basic labour if they need it, you will have to blow another $14,000 on it for it to become unviable but also, think of it this way. A mk4 r32 is worth ~$21,000 at this point (except for a couple of exceptions) and there was only what, 398 of them brought in so these are getting rarer and rarer. Look at what people pay for a good nick mk1 pov pack golf! You will be saving this car from the bone-yard which in itself should make you feel good about it and you will en up with a bloody awesome collectible afterwards which will have more grunt and drivability than any other example out there!

Yeah if some one on here wanted to help me with it I would happily buy it and help with the labour I even have loads of tools ramps etc

Just not the experience or skill to do a head and timing chain

I am thinking $7k for car $2k for shipping and I then have roughly $5k and saving slowly for the rest..........

Looking at pics, aside from dead motor...

        - Passenger front rim is cracked on lip,
        - Passenger front fender and back edge of front bar look damaged
        - Passenger front guard liner missing or torn apart
        - missing rear headrests?
        - Amp bolted to back seat (this personally sh17s me)
        - dead windscreen

It is gonna cost you, but it would be great to see someone rebuild it!
Although it is gonna take a lot of effort, heartbreak, time and LOTS of money to get it to a point where you are happy with it.

Just wanna throw my 2 cents in.....

If this is the Black Mk4 R32 in QLD then its a BIG BIG Job!

I considered it but a rebuild on an R32 engine isnt cheap, ive seen quotes of up to 25k! If the timing chain has gone then you need pistons, valves and the rest!!

PLUS the body is in such a bad condition! Cracked Windscreen, cheap aftermarket rims, damage to front left quarter!

Personally its not worth it! maybe better off if you wrecked it for parts!
