Although, I must admit Jimmy, they do get up and boogey when they want to.
And furthermore....Where is my Seat ?!?!? =P
Seriously the T5 was a rocket and tuned very nicely, people think Volvo and you think of 244 with aerodynamics of a half brick. T5 was a good thing

Hey my 1st car was a 1984 Volvo 245 wagon. Don't knock em !
It boasted a 2.3L EFI engine, 5 speed box, AC, P/steer + 7 seats. It was as fast off the line as a ford Falcon.
Interesting that the car I had before the GTI was a 1984 Scorpion (sigma coupe), with that famous 2.6L Astron - it had AC but no power steering.
But the most crap car I owned was a 1993 Lancer, just woeful.
MK4 GTI - Sold
MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold

As a few of you out there know, a few weeks ago on the cruise to natural bridge, I had an accident in the .:R.
Without going into too much detail, basically I misjudged the greasy conditions while going around an uphill bend and hit a bump which unsettled the car causing sudden sharp oversteer. I failed to correct (not through lack of trying) and the car has gone off the road and down a gully meeting some trees on the way.
Aside from some shock and some light bruises, I walked away from he crash and am back to full health now. The car however is not so good. In fact it's a complete stat write off.
My claim has been approved and the insurance is at the last stage, so I'm sure the car will be appearing on Pickles very very soon up for auction. If you'd like some .:R32 goodies for potentially very little dollars, shoot me a PM and I'll tell you what should be salvageable off the car. In addition to this there will be some stuff in the for sale section in the future including a lot of stock .:R gear which you Bora V6 4Motion guys should be interested in.
I suppose this has been a big shock for me and I'm sure some of you will be very saddened by the loss of the .:R. At the end of the day all I can say is that it is just a car and I'm extremely lucky and grateful that I got out in the way that I did.
I'd like to publicly thank everyone who has contacted me over the last few weeks to see how I'm going. I'd also like to throw out some massive thanks to Adam (vagman), Rhys ([-Polo GTI-]), Jon (j0n_GTI) and Tim (Coxy09) for their help on the day and also friendship and continued support since.
I'd also like to add extra thanks to Adam for storing the car for me while everything was being sorted. If anyone wants top quality servicing and work done in the Gold Coast area, V A Garage is the place to go.
Lastly I'd like to thank everyone who has helped me, offered advice or simply just made comments about the car. Some specific people include:
Jimmy (Jmac), Al Walker (quozl), Graeme (Graeme86), Guy Harding (Guy_H), Mickey (Mrk_Mickey) and Mike Weber at Mike Weber's Prestige and Performance.
I'd also just like to ask can we please keep any photos of the wreck kept off the site and net please. Pics I'm sure will be up on Pickles eventually. Maybe when they do come up I'll put up a few then. Thanks in advance for your respect there.
It was a fantastic ride and it's a shame it ended the way it did, but hey I had an absolute blast. What will Trent, do next? Who knows, will be sure to let you all know though.
See you on the flip side.
Cheers,
Trent
So sorry to hear what happened but so pleased your OK, Chris would be gutted as your R32 was his dream, he loved it, said it was the best out there. Wish you all the best ( we still have some photo's of the two of your cars parked together- he was so proud of that)

Hey Trent - had been following your build thread since you started it and am saddened to hear the news ... Glad that you're okay as people are harder to fix - Best of luck with your future projects mate.
I've made a bit of a list in the link above of stuff that is and isn't on the car and what should be salvageable. Shoot me a PM or ask in that thread if you have any questions.
As JustCruisn said earlier this is a build up and happy memories thread.
Mate really sorry to hear about this Trent. I'm sure you'll come back with bigger and better plans but as everyonne has said, who cares about a car when people are involved. You were safe and thats the main thing.
As sad as it is new projects are always heaps of fun.
Who still sells a passenger car in 1995 with a carbie? Mitsubishi that's who! No wonder they got into so much financial trouble. Oh and the car doesn't have air con at all. It has power steering though. Such wonderous technology.
Cheers,
Trent
get this one.. its good its not a carbie and its nearly good like your old one
