      That's right. 5000K is the colour temperature in degrees Kelvin, and it is Lumens (also Candella) that is used to indicate the brightness.

      The colour temperature is what gives you either a blue/white or yellow colour, sometimes indicated as "bright white" for blue/white, or "warm white" for more yellow.

        5000K is the colour temperature, *not* the brightness.

        (It comes from the idea that if you took a matte black object and heated it to, in this case, 5000 Kelvin (or around 4727ºC), this is the colour that the object would glow).

            You could also use Polarg B1 Hybrid bulbs. They're pretty close in colour and they spread light more evenly than leds.
