okay so im pretty sure both my top engine mounts have had it. even with a brand new dogbone mount my engine still moves around quite a bit and im hearing and clicking/clunking sound everytime i accelerate or decelerate quickly. what are peoples opinions on this? should i go aftermarket or oem. i had a look around and if i was to go aftermarket they're like $200 each from ecs. if i was to go oem can you buy just the bushings or do you have to get the whole lot as a complete unit?

pm sent if you need mounts.
Control arm bushings are pretty easy to change - if you do, get the audi tt ones - they are solid rubber, less flex (gti ones have some cutouts in them, same bushing though)

Be worth having a look before spending any money then. The bushes in my S3 are still sound after 3 and a half years and 50000k.
Could be roll bars maybe?

OK, just did some checking, I left the main mounts in the car and the eared pieces are from the original motor, so I have half of each..lol.
So the rubberised bits have about 90000 kms on them...Last edited by Stan; 29-11-2012, 10:05 PM.
