Well there is always the option of machining the hub in order to get some adapter/spacers behind it.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Would need 15mm adapters all round. (10mm would be more ideal on the rear, although I believe 15mm is the minimum.)
Going to poke a fair bit, so your height and rear camber will determine if you can pull it off or not.
Will need crazy stretch tyres (225/30/20 on front, 235/30/20 rear)
Would be awesome if you pulled it off though.
Could you please post these sort of questions here in the future:

good luck...
the above comments pretty much sum it up.
20s are often hard to pull off.
20x10.5s wont work without worked guards or lame suspension height.
wheels are 5x120, so will need adapters.
if you are asking the question and are new to the fitment game your trying something big, so id start else where

I love your proposed wheels, but the best part about them is that the rears are concave. However, you'll lose the effect if you run 4 fronts. It seems a bit pointless.
In addition, you'll have legal/engineering/insurance issues to overcome.79 MK1 GLD

Thats a 19x10et32 with 2.5deg of camber and a 235/35 tyre
you may or not have more room due to camber/4mo suspension setup, and may or may not have a variation in offset due to wide track/different brakes.
from what iv noticed there is a difference in 4mo and FWD mk4s in relation to the wheel track. so most of the info/photos above are invalid as they are FWD cars...
plus your dealing with serious wheels, so at the end of the day, each car is different by enough to make or break the fitment.
Have a look through this thread, there are some 4mo setups on both big and wide wheels.
