for those amounts of money,id be looking at a full replacement bar from rieger or if your set on the lip style, they also have a more full style.

Why would i wanna bring in baking soda???

I dont see why it would be too hard. Ive seen people come and go at the airport with bags upon bags of stuff. Snowboards etc. One guy on Vortex said he bought over 100kg of bike parts and nobody asked any questions!

if its for personal use ,I think they cannot charge you.I brought in a short shifter for my mk3 from neuspeed and I was not charged.but you would have to pay the additional freight charges id say.

            carmate??? bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!

I just browsed the carmate site and it looks ****e. Too expensive for fibreglass knock-offs and the R32 Style rear apron looks homo!

its the same stuff you can buy on ebay from china/taiwan/hong kong...

if you are on a tight budget,id suppose they are alright.but to me it goes against the vdubbin way of modding.my personal opinion and im not bagging anyone for buying anything from there.

Ryan (with the silver mk4) has a carmate kit on his. he said it was a bit of a hassle to fit align but it seemed all good in the end of it.

You pay for what you get in the end, so its up to you what you want to spend or what you'd rather, power/or cosmetics
                            What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

I'm sorry but IMO Reiger are a rip off if you ask me, and those bodykits are abit far fetched even on the mk3s, better to go nice, small OEM I think

just had a look through the MK4 photo thread and was wondering where i could get the front lower section and side skirts that are on the red Gti in post 5 & 6?

seems fairly popular as ive seen a few MK4's on this forum with the same setup... had a bit of a search, but couldnt find anything other than big ricey kits which arent ayy good as id rather keep the body styling a little more subtle...

also what sort of price would i be looking at?

                                dan

                                Dan,

Bodykits are very much a personal choice, not only from its appearance/quality or materials used, but from YOUR perspective of value. If you are a person that has a big wallet then oettinger or reiger might seem great value to you,or if you are running on a budget or a little tight then you might say they are a ripoff.
at the end of the day, always shop around! and check for quality and perseived value before you buy!!!

Hope you find the kit you are looking for!!!
