Your ad is a bit odd, my Golf has the best AC of any car I've owned over the years and a lot of models have the fogs built into the main light housing so the ones in the bumper are the rare type, not the fogs per se.

What are you doing with the interior ?
Have you changed to white on the driver's side ?
It looks like you have roughed up the plastic in a few other areas as a key for some paint ?
I'm interested to see how that turns out, I guess there is a magic goldilocks zone of changes before it looks odd. The white on the bottom half could nicely offset the black top. Maybe don't change the AC vents surrounds.
Good luck with the S2000, so much less practical than the Golf but way better to drive. They have some serious stiff suspension though.
