You might be able to drop in a MkIV R32 engine into a MkIV golf, but if you're going to do that, you might as well get a full R32 as then you get 4Motion as well...
If you want a V6 in a MkIII, there's always the trusty ol' Golf VR6
I know my idea's are a bit out there but what about finding a 3.2Lt v6 for a the golf.. Would that work since bora and r32 is 4motion??
As far as I'm aware there isn't a v6 golf conversion been done yet.. But could be wrong
I'm all for you seeing what you can do with the 1.6L, seeing as you've already strengthened the gearbox...
God I wish they'd sold the VR6 in MK4 here.

Yeah well the gearbox has coped a fair bit of abuse in the past 12months.. I'm running 14inch stockies but with 215/65 tyres and heavy duty clutch and had no problems so far..
So should handle more power put through it..
I like the idea of the internal work and running a turbo
