Yes, a 4 pin and 5 pin plug on it IIRC.

Ignition control module for sure. Lack of air flow has killed it. If you have a multi meter, jumpers and a 1.5 volt battery you can bench test it.
If it is dead driving around will kill the o2 sensor and maybe the cat also. Spark plug on dead cylinder, probably cyl 3, will be in bad shape from all the excess fuel also

Try this DIY test of power output stage/ignition amp module N122 (long & BWW) - AudiWorld Forums
Im using my phone tonight. Ill check my bookmarks when I get back to the laptop.

Generally middle pin on 5 pin side is ground, put voltage on pin 1 measure resistance on pin 1 on other side repeat for each cyl. All should have a similar value. If one is way out you know its rooted. There is another thread on how to fix the thing also.

Another thing to try is removing the connector from each coil pack and see if it makes any difference.

I just watched your 1st video. It sounds just like mine did when it died, like a subaru, all too familiar.

I really do like the flutter sounds you got, what DV are you running ?

If you want to keep that air filter you will need to mount your new ignition module onto a big heat sink.
And as you live near the border remember that filter is illegal in NSW.
