R32's here never had a first aid kit fitted - just the rubber strap to put it in the leftside compartment.

No jack either - just the hole in the foam where it goes.

You should have a screw-in towhook however.

The R32 one is different to a standard Golf - a bit longer to clear the front bumper.
PM if you are looking for: R32 rear sway bar; R32 suspension springs; Euro Headlight switches

Puncture goo/foam will have expired in 2009 or 2008. S3 space saver fits perfectly in boot well without reducing boot space. Does not clear front brakes though.

      Cheers,
      Trent

thanks for the info Graeme and Trent. It's strange they didn't come with all this stuff, makes the car look unfinished. The repair goo has been taken out of mine and replaced with some styrafoam blocks. Something else to be paranoid about ha ha. Had better join RACV roadside assist lol.

Ordered the DG short shifter, looks like a quality product, and it includes the same type of spherical bushes that Jay mentions in his thread, without having to purchase them separately with the HPA shifter.
Just need a unibrace and a blue haldex controller (anyone know of one for sale?) and I'll be set for a few days ha ha its difficult to not want to improve this very enjoyable car....

I got the key rings and umbrella, but no box or pen. I'm REALLY tempted to add euro spring/shock combo and haldex controller upgrade....and just well, to go nuts. BBS CH would look nice and i'm supposed to be saving for a house which is why i have the cash handy, but for gods sake someone take control of my money before it all disappears lol

What type of short shifters can people recommend? A quick search and seems the HPA one is a favourite? In conjunction to a short shifter would like to pick up the bushes that Jay mentions in his thread for reduced slackness
Dieselgeek all the way. HPA only shortens front to back, dieselgeek shortens both front-to-back and left-to-right.

                            Congratulations on the .:R

I presume that's the one on Carsales (dont know why Hermann had RAUDI2 plates on it though?!?!), its been on there for some time and looked in perfect condition with low (hwy) kms.

Just picked my BMP .: a couple of weeks ago and I agree with all your points, though it would have had a lot more power but damn you gotta love that exhaust note.

I recently reflashed my ECU. Cost close to 1K but it did make the .:R much more responsive and it did negate the flat spot at the 2800 rpm mark.

Look forward to hear from your endeavors as I would look to follow suit!

                            GL

Thanks Kurt. Great to hear about your reflash thoughts too

Also was excellent to chat to both Paul and Mal at sedf. Looking forward to much more learning and R32 shennanigans to come. That unibrace in the rear of Pauls car looks the biz.

After an expensive few weeks with the car and bills on top to boot I'm going to ease up with the modification bug for at least 2 weeks lol. Maybe that'll be my rule. One mod per fortnight.

SO the turbo should be ready to go on in about in about 3 months time? Ace!

Got to go for a little spin in this today, was very impressed with the car, how clean and tidy it was (great pick up Carlos!) and also how torqey and easy driving it is. And that burble is to die for!
