Thanks everyone, am really enjoying it!

Think I need a haldex controller ASAP, thanks for the info Graeme!

Paul, I definately agree the throttle is very sensitive! Easy to bunny hop down the road especially thanks to the extra stiff suspension!

Do you call the suspension stiff? Still standard if I remember your first post right?

Not standard, its got H&R springs and bilstein shocks in a coilover type deal. It's a lot stiffer than the ones I test drove with standard suspension.

On another note I have never been so paranoid driving a car! Not because I think I'll damage it. But on 4 occasions in the last 3 days I have seen the same Black SS unmarked cop car sitting on the opposite side of the road with his radar out facing the oncoming traffic (me) and miraculously I haven't been doing anything unlawful. Its as if theres a blitz on in my area. One occasion the cop took off, u turn and booked the black bmw that was next to me doing about 5 km/hr more than I was.

Ok so I just actually lifted the rear floor panel to reveal that I am missing the jack? and whatever is supposed to sit on the rear driver side in the foam tray.... Can anyone help me out here with what is supposed to be there? a can of tyre repair perhaps? Also the pannier compartment on the rear passenger side the first aid kit is missing and anything else that should have been in there??

Will be chasing up the previous owner for these items.

Ah pardon. Was going to say, standard suspension is terible

Perhaps the policeman is just jealous haha

The way it was explained to me, every mk4 exc R32 got a spare wheel. R32 gets a puncture repair kit including a compressor etc, which is under your bootliner.

Not 100% if all your gear is there though (obviously).

I got a space saver 18" steelie with my car that the previous owner had sourced (off a TT I think), but not sure if it's just my car or not but it doesn;t clear the front brakes. So get to play swapsies.

TBH, haven't looked for my first aid kit, been too busy enjoying the thing!

Ha ha cheers Mal. I'll take a picture of what I'm missing tomorrow.

What type of short shifters can people recommend? A quick search and seems the HPA one is a favourite? In conjunction to a short shifter would like to pick up the bushes that Jay mentions in his thread for reduced slackness

Nice one on getting an R32 Carl! I take it he came crawling back and took your offer in the end? Looks tidy!

I'm hearing you on the flapper, i never modded mine cos i liked how quiet it was at low revs, plus you get the induction noise which i liked. Nice to hear it open up in 3rd gear once you get the revs up! I also liked how it sounded when you start it from cold.

From memory in the boot you should have a compressor to put some wind in the tyres, a puncture repair kit, a little hook looking thing to pull the caps off the wheel bolts and most importantly a locking wheel bolt key/socket. Mine had the space for a jack but it wasn't in there, and my first aid kit had gone too... Have a look in your manual if you've got one, i'm pretty sure it say's in there what it should of come with.

They are awesome cars to drive, i'm sure with a few mods they would be amazing, especially having the tune done... Enjoy!!

2nded bigtime. the Dieselgeek S/S is a great piece of kit and fark me if Jim from Dieselgeek isn't the nicest bloke i've ever dealt with.

                            Fairly easy DIY install too.

Thanks for the input guys, 2 Votes for the DG short shift, any for the HPA? Apparently DG reduces the side throw aswell? (not always a good thing)

has a very positive action, takes any sort of slop out of it.
great mod if you ask me, but everyone likes different things
