  • The A/C has stopped. Error codes suggest pressure sensor again, I've emailed my A/C guy about it as he supplied and fit the new one only 4 - 6 weeks ago. High speed fans still work when the car is hot.

I bought some wire and LED's to make a little 'signal box' in my glovebox to activate an LED for each slow and fast fans. So I can rest my mind that the fans are on from inside the car.

I'm also adding some additional ports (12v sockets) for my dash cam (save plugging it in on the dash). Also going to fit a volt meter inside the globebox. Again, this is to keep my mind at rest, also because I love stealth stuff and I don't like loose cables around the cabin.

But, the car is driving really well. I brought it to work today for the first time in 6 months or so.

Last week I addressed the leaking boot. It always has water in it. I pulled out the vents and discarded their seals. I then used some Sika (Automotive) to re-seal them.

Note here that the flaps on the left vent are not very healthy. They went like this after I got acetone on them!! Thankfully a wash in fresh water and a bath fixed them up and they went back to normal.

I cut the tips off the drains. They were full of water and it wouldn't come out unless I squeezed them. I do think these have been the main issue with my wet boot.

The drain is at the back and has a sunroof drain hose in it. This was just floating loose in this little area when I got in here, meaning that all the sunroof draining just ended up in here.

I took the tail lights seals out. They were in pretty good nic, so I gave them a big clean to get all the debris (leaves and crap) off the faces of them so they would seal again.

I also got a new 600CCA battery from Sydney Battery. They were awesome, delivered and fit it for $230. The old one was only about 2 years old but its been charged and died so many times over the last year as the car wasn't driven and it just gave up.

    • What are your headlights like?
faded, yellow and that's after hitting them with paper and polish... Looking to get some a/m ones but just wanted to check out the quality of them from peeps that have them fitted.

Damn Christian, can't believe your having a/c probs again...

      • My headlights look awesome after the Mothers Headlight Restore kit. Also I've started wiping them over with the Aerospace protectant which has UV protection in it. They look almost new atm.

Yeah I'm hoping the A/C is something really simple. A/C guy is coming over on Wednesday to help diagnose.

        • A/C guy came today, identified a rooted TX valve. He'll supply and fit for $300. Argh, more money!

He's not charging for re-gassing though as he has already charged for it and didn't pick up this problem initially. Super nice.
