    Hi Guys,

I know this question has most likely been asked millions of times before, but I was wondering if any of you knew anyone in Queensland who stocks Forge Diverter Valves for a 99 GTI. I have looked around and it seems the only option is to buy one from overseas.

Also, first post. Great to finally find an aussie forum to share my new love of Golfs (Purchased 2 weeks ago!).

    PIC:

Stock as a rock at the moment, 3' turbo back straight pipe is going on tomorrow and wheels are to follow . Also, if any of you are in Queensland and would like to share your knowledge and possibly go for a drive, let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

    - Jake.

I have some DVs that are just the same as a Forge. I can do you one for $125 delivered if you are interested. Any colour you like as long as it's black! They take all the same spares as a Forge too.

            Howdy Eddy,

Thanks for the warm welcome. The car is amazing, I went from a big horsepower skyline to this and I will never look back.

            Another PIC:

                Thanks mate!

Are they hard to install? I assume it is pretty much as follows:

                - Take clamps off
                - Remove old DV
                - Put new DV on
                - Reclamp

                Appreciete your help guys.

                Cheers

                  Welcome Jake!!!

That's a lovely looking Mk4, and it's nice to see more and more QLD members joining our community.

Have you tried Harding Performance? Guy can provide many of the "Go-fast" bits you need in Brisbane, and he does have access to forge parts. It may be worth a look for other bits and pieces you might want...

Shop 24/7 online! Racingline Performance, Milltek Sport and DMS Automotive. ECU/DSG tuning and performance hardware for European vehicles.

Enjoy your time here. I hope you'll find your way onto one of our SE Qld cruises, as we had 26 cars, but no Mk4 on our last cruise...

                  Once again, WELCOME!!!

You might find some single use clips hold the original one in place. I'll chuck in a couple of jubilee clips in for you. Just about to upload some pictures now. Will post them asap.

                      Gavin

I ran one of these on a Seat Leon for 6 months before coming to Australia last year, just as good as a Forge. I have mates in the UK that have been using them much longer without problems and you save the cost of a couple of tanks of petrol!!

                        No MK4, blasphemy!!!

I will check out http://www.hp.net.au/. I have also been looking for a good mechanic in the SE region since I purchased the car. Do you recommend anyone in this area?

I will definitly be up for a cruise, I am in Brisbane every weekend as my girlfriend lives down there so I am always in the area!

I am in the planning stages at the moment of what exactly I can do to the car as it seems modifying these beasts is a tad more tricky then the simple jap method of exhaust, ecu, fmi boost boost boost!

I have read up on the DV vs BOV debate and I think I will go with the masses and buy the DV along with intake!

Great to meet all you guys.

                        Thanks!

                          Hey Gavin,

I see the pictures. Comparatively what do these sound like against the Forge DV's?

                          Cheers!

I see. I really would like something that is a substantial ammount louder then stock (I'm still a ricer). I was under the impression that the forge DV's sound quite tasty?
