They are dual mass OEM, but I wasn't paying 2200 @ trade price for OEM clutch and flywheel. It will get driven spiritedly so wanted to beef it up a little with a SPEC clutch. You need to use the matching flywheel in this case, which incidently is a SMFW. Think the weight is around the 8kg mark.
I'm expecting a little bit of chatter at idle, but the characteristics of the engine should change for the better

Franck must have had a good weekend racing his STI race car, he's done the clutch, flywheel and headers already. Feeling motivated obviously
Box is back on the car and filled with Motul's finest, on track for a Thursday morning pickup and big smiles again

So took a late start to work this morning to travel down to Gosford with a good mate and pick up #189.
Franck @ FMD Motorsport/Gosford Euro Car Centre handled the job exceptionally well, and he gave some great pointers.
The new driving experience? Holy F****** ****. Such a big smile after being out for a drive this afternoon.
It's hard to appreciate everything in isolation seeing as it was all in together, but the car is completely transformed. I'm not ****ting anyone. Whereas before the car made a bit of noise but essentially felt "big block", it's now happy as larry to smack 7k. It revs "like a Honda". It's just awesome.
An actual sound clip I'll get up later, have a massive weekend planned so wont get to it. But it's hard to be disappointed. Although I'm still getting used to the responsiveness from the Single mass LWFW (~4kg compared to around 12 or something for the standard dual mass), it seems like you can keep it fairly quiet through the streets and open it up when you want. On the highway with cruise on, it loads up a litle bit on hills in 6th but it's nowhere near drone at all. Not even close. (Don't know how people can't stand non-res!!!!)
It hasn't been a cheap or stress free exercise, but having your own car back and getting to giggle is such an awesome feeling.
Parts List:
Spec Stage 2+ Clutch Kit
Spec SMFW
Milltek Sport Full Non-Res exhaust.
Gotta lay out massive thanks to Ian @ Rennenhaus, Franck @ FMD Motorsport (thanks for the recommendation Andrew)
Laters, out driving again

Spotted you this arvo Mal. think you came out of Greenhills shopping centre. You followed me for about a km or so (was in a silver hilux with a inspector gadget flashing light on it)
Car is looking awesomeness + 1, even my work colleague thought it looked horn.

Ahh I sees. Obviously didnt spot you haha, but thanks Ben.Need to get the wheels back to OEM paint code, but they'll do for now.
Attended the dyno day in Sydney yesterday.
Best run was 148 awkw, exceeded my expectation for sure.
Had an awesome day overall

The car must feel great with the clutch and flywheel. (When my clutch goes kaboom I will definately be going down this track!)
It now sounds a lot faster than it is, but as far as actually punching through gears it definitely has made quite a significant difference to the nature and charachter of the car.
Can't imagine the benefits on track of it
