Time to Boost the Bora!

Well I think it's time that I started a build thread for this project. Things are finally starting to take off! Work is being done by Seb at Euro Automotive.
The plan is for 400hp at the wheels on daily tune.
So far I have:
MkV R32 engine
GT3582R
Intercooler and piping
3" down pipe,
440cc injectors (probably wont be big enough)
Exhaust manifold
3" exhaust mid section.

Originally purchased another 2.8 24v with plans to rebuild that. I then came across the R32 engine with a rebuilt cylinder head (one less hassle). Unfortunately, it had rusty bores and unknown internal damage. I decided to take the risk so had the engine sent to Seb. The engine was stripped and the carnage was discovered. Seems that the engine had sucked in water and hydro locked. Crankshaft, pistons and rods were bent and cracked beyond repair. Luckily, I was already going to replace the pistons with low compression forged items and forged Intergrated Engineering rods. The block turned out to be fine except for the rusty bores, so is being bored 0.5mm.
I have sourced a used crankshaft from the UK, so that is on it's way here now.

Haha I'm not looking forward to raising the car to a functional height. Will have to get a cheap 5x100 car that I can slam and transfer all my wheels to!

From what I understand you need to keep the same ecu as was originally with that engine unless you plan to run some sort of external system. Issue will be what you do with the 4motion system as that takes the input from the ecu and from what I gather it wont be compatible with a mkv ecu, you would have to run one of those external 4motion control systems.

It will be fine if he runs a mk4 r32 ecu , Ive done it before to a 2001 Bora , you just need to add some extra wiring for the individual coilpacks vs single coilpack but apart from that and the rear flapper it has the same ecu functions .

Does that mean I'll also need an R32 instrument cluster?
