What year is your car, all the older ones (mine) come with them.
You see alot of people dropping the centre one to see out the back
mine's a 99 golf, came with nice solid headrests. hehe the beetle only has 4 headrests so I'm gonna conveniently leave out the centre one "for better visibility"
I could only ever find them in cloth or black leather, so when I found one in cream leather I grabbed it.
picked up a brand new genuine Eurovox CD changer for $95 shipped on fleabay to do some protocol sniffing on
won't be putting it in my car, just sniffing handshakes etc on a bench setup (using the spare factory stereo I've picked up for $20 ) to program an arduino with so that I can plug my iphone into the stereo as a CD changer, and use the radio buttons and/or steering wheel buttons to control the iphone.
Boser metal hood extension finally arrived. Looks like I'm gonna have to take to it with an angle grinder after tacking it on to change the slanty eyes to evil eyes... dunno, needs a little more curvature I reckon.
Also needs low low asap, to match my Cefiro at least.
don't u have bags??? I'm sure that'd make it plenty low.
Where did you want more curve
yeah, can't wait to put em in and sit it on the rails. impatience I guess
I was thinking more curve near the outer edges of the headlights, but I had a look at this install of the speedtech extension and it looks pretty sweet with that angular join:
I suppose once the R32 kit and modded xenons are in it should look a lot more aggressive.
How long did it take to install the front refresh kit?
Did you DIY? Am contemplating on getting the same kit off ECS with a few other bits.
I do plan to DIY, I haven't had time to do it yet cos I work mon-fri. I wouldn't recommend DIY'ing it unless you have access to a workshop. My cuz runs a shop that works on jap imports, so over the christmas break we'll be working on our own cars. Putting in the kit will be so much easier if you have access to a hoist, hyrdaulic press and air tools etc.
Haha not quite, needed to make room in the garage. The skyline I sold was my old daily that wasn't getting driven anymore. Still got a GTR, a Cefiro and a 200SX racecar
I also bought a 120PSI nail gun to knock up some shelving and workbench in the garage. Watch this space, it'll either turn out awesome or you'll see me on one of those OHS safety videos on what not to do with a nail gun.
This car is going to be super smoooth! very similar to what im doing atm
ordering an r32 kit also, already have it lowered and 19" rs4 reps on it although mine is white tinted windows and a few other little things but the r32 kit will look really nice!
looks like your pouring a fair bit of money into this nice little project!
I'm not sold on the spoiler though. It fits up great, but it kinda ruins that smooth look I'm goin for. Might sell it.
Been reading up on boot poppers and swapping in beetle latches etc. looks a bit too hard basket, might just leave the lever in and just take off the badge.
