i will fix links tonight.
Sydney roads are crap or my car is just too low. so hopefully the bigger profile tyres will help. have had the wheels on the car for 4 years so want a bit of change...maybe some power gain going down to 15's2004 GTI, GIAC, DOWNPIPE

why not 16's? though the second lot look ok
and you sure you're not down on power for other reasons? tune and downpipe should give you enough juice, so perhaps you've got boost leak or something like that. or you're just used to the power i guess. i can't imagine big wheels slow you down tooooo much. but from 19 to 15 is a BIG jump! I'd go 16s min
not sure why the links arn't working, i tried too, but search item number 160427784133 for first one and 140400248873 for second one in ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/Last edited by McDub; 30-04-2010, 06:22 PM.

You should try to keep the same rolling distance (so any rim size will end up with no difference to the car height or speedo reading)
Your 19's are a low profile, you'd probably find 17's a good compromise. 15's are likely to feel sloppy as the sidewall will flex a lot.
If your car feels slow, I'd be looking at Vag-com, swapping out your J valve for a standard one and checking your piping for boost / vacum leaks. Unless you shead a lot of rim weight, you are not going to notice a massive difference.

i think 16's with some smaller profile is a good idea.
im not concerned about the power of the car..it is fine
nah thats fine 16's will be ok in clearing brakes.

i still don't get why you want those 15's. they'd be good for off road and cheap tyres, that's about it.
i sold my 16" gti stock wheels for $300 (montreal 2's), i wouldn't pay any more than 250 for just 15" rims.... (tyres oviously add value if you need them)
put up a wanted listing in the forums here and copy it in your sig, or just browse the for sale section here for a little bit.
