My wife regularly gets 7.*l/100km on the freeway. In peak hour...she will score mid to high 8s.

I'll score mid 8s on a good freeway run....she is so much lighter on the throttle (even with cruise control on) than I am.

Put it into "S" mode...and you start seeing "dial your time" results for the drags.

Yeah it all depends on how you drive it, trusting me though it would be pretty high, i'd ease up though when fuel money starts to hurt.

You really shouldn't be paying more than 25k for a nice one, the V's are already dropping into the low sub 30's and is a superior car.

i dont know where ur looking but nearly all the mk4 r32's on carsales are priced at above 30k. and theres only two mk5 r32s under 40k both are 5 door dsg with higher than average k's!

And those Mk4 R32's have been on the market for ages...really need to be priced below the 30K mark to sell

I agree takes far too long to sell if you want too much.. Just like the MK5's over 50k aren't selling either.

Two black ones is Brissy have gone. The high K one to someone on here. I was trying to get the 62K one, but alas someone has beat me to it.
So the quest will continue for me.

Newer car, sure.

Superior? Not so sure. The Mk5 in general was generally considered a step backwards in build and materials quality from the Mk4. You get a 2nd generation Haldex rather than 1st gen with a Mk5, otherwise the drivetrain is largely similar, engine is largely similar (same coil packs between engines for example, so they can't be too different!). Option of 5 door is there in the Mk5, not an issue for many though.

That said, I tend to agree on the price (~$25k) - it seems to be where the market is going.

I like the Silver R32 in Vic. But at + $36 bit too high me thinks.

I was thinking around $25,000. Even then, for a 6 year old car with 70,000kms on it, still a bit generous.
