ok so i need some help i have TA technik coilovers and with the fronts they hit on the inner of my wheels how can i fix this and has any1 else used ta teckniks before...
Wheels spacers? if so what is the best size for a golf
Yip, answered your own question, spacers will be the go. Get a wheel on if you can and measure from the outside of the rim to the outside of the arch, thats how much room for spacers you'l have, just take a few mm of so the wheel goes under the arch.
Pretty sure Tim at Dub Addiction sells em, you'll need longer wheel bolts too
ok ill check dub-adiction out bookmarked for good reasons lol. they said the coilovers were to suit mk4 golfs dnt know y i would have this problem and i only have 18x7.5" with original offset
what specs are your wheels (offset and i see 7.5 for width)
I have those coilovers in my bora, are they hitting on the strut or the coils/springs?
I had big problems with the offset of my wheels (ET45) on a 8" wide rim.
spacers will be the way to go most likely.
pretty sure they are et45 and its hitting on the spring adjustment spindle
if thats the offset you'll just have to wind them up so the ring is above (or close enough to) the top of the tyre, until you get spacers.
IMO, spacer size. 15mm will get the rim outside the line of adjustable nut, but tyre bulge can hit... what size tyres have you got? 20mm should make tyres clear even with 225 wide tyres (im guessing thats what you have..)
Do you have your stock wheels still?
