106KW was a little disappointing from a dyno point of view but we wanted to give actual dyno figures for comparison because so many people argue that BOVs increase/decrease final power.
For your purpose in this case, the actual figure is entirely irrelevant, and you could simply have replaced it with "1" - the delta between readings (as an absolute and even more importantly, as a percentage) being much more important.
A great video. I almost had tears in my eyes when you started riding the bike with the blowoff valve.
i wonder if mine is doing that... (though i've got unitronic not revo)... power went down considerably some time back, i still seem to get the right amount of boost though so not sure. power seems to really die off anywhere over 4500rpm...
do you know more about this 'semi safe' mode? what was it limiting?
Have you checked that your boost isn't falling away at higher revs (as it did with the stock DV in the MM video)?
The other thing I'd be checking is fuel path (no clogging/reduction in ability to flow fuel into the engine) - if that's happening, the ECU will detect the car leaning out (or will detect the start of pre-detonation) and will slow things down to ensure there's no damage to the engine).
the only thing i have to pick on the mightmods mk4 is that the k&n pod filter sucking air!
I did wonder about that too - boxing it in with a CAI would potentially increase the power - have you ever measured air intake temps pre/post intercooler?
Next month we're going to be doing some comparisons with stock air filter VS POD style with dyno results.
We ourselves are interested to see the results as we've been told some very conflicting stories - mostly comprising of the 'Less restriction' VS 'Sucking more hot air' arguments.
Hopefully put a few more arguments to bed.
Out of interest: How many of you are running full after market POD style filters?

Ran a Modshack VTDA on both my MY08 Golf TDI and currently have the same unit on my MY02 v6 Bora. Have seen low-mid throttle response increased and fuel consumption decrease.
Sound and throttle response moreso on the Bora.
Fuel efficiency increase on the Diesel (not like it needed it).
Very keen to see your results.

I'm running an AEM cold air intake kit, dry pod filter is located behind the front bumper in front of the front passenger wheel
