um.... undo the bolts holding them in
What model is it? I have a Mk 4 Bora and theres three bolts holding each light in. Undo those and they pop straight out

One light on the Golf has a weird spike on one corner too.
The corner of the light can snap off if you pull it the wrong way too hard.
Look for a DIY on vortex or ukmkivs for some pics.PM if you are looking for: R32 rear sway bar; R32 suspension springs; Euro Headlight switches
