    dont say that.

but if they scan it, and i did get to different place to scan it for me, and the coilpack dont show in the scan on both of them it won't be the coilpack would it?

And i only hear the wrx sound when it's about to die, not while i'm driving and it dosen't die straight away when it's on idle, it takes about 2 to 3 min before start doing it.

i think your right gavin lambda is worth a shot.

to all bora v6 driver, i'm just wondering what is your fuel consumption driving around town and high way?
i think this will give me a rough idea. mine sit around 10 to 12.5 driving around town and every now and then it will sit on 8.7 to 9.8 around town. and last time i when on the high way i was sitting on 10.5. what is the reading on your bora?

Coilpacks can often fail intermittently - so they're fine most of the time, but occasionally they play up. One thing I can't comment on is whether or not the ECU keeps track of this happening, or if it only throws codes while there's a coilpack playing up.

I'm not sure that a lambda sensor would cause the "WRX" sound (which is generally in my experience heard when a cylinder isn't firing).

I do a lot of short trips, and get around 15L/100km as an average. On the highway I get down as low as 8L/100km.

        I'm not exactly a light-footed driver though.
        Nothing to see here...

I did a thorough research last night and with all the symptoms I have on my car, it looks like the Lambda sensor is gone, because it muck up my idle and it feels like the engine is flooded and the fuel consumption reads funny. I’m in Canberra, any one can give me an advise where to get one beside vw, I’m just running low on $$$, I need to consider after market brand.
