yep, i bought it from a guy who was heading back to scotland, its in prettydecent nick- some of the soft touch rubber isnt looking too crash hot but overall its still quite well looked after.

the best bits are the mods- whoever had it before me dropped it on its arse, added big spacers and increased the rear camber, new custom exhaust, carbon air box and air ram and according to the paperwork chipped it too!

the downside of coarse is theres no engine armour/front lip, and with what happened to 88 im more than nervous driving in the rain!

theres always good news tho, weve got a new r!
Sorry to hear the old one was a write-off, but glad to hear you're into a new one so quickly

If you'd been over this side of the country, I think I would have been looking for the seats out of the wrecked one!
      Nothing to see here...

Now now Rob, don't be greedy, you've already got leather, spare a thought for us GTI owners with cloth needing an upgrade.!

Haha - well, if I did find a set of R32 front pews in my car, then there'd be a lovely set of Bora leather front seats on the market - so it wouldn't be a total loss for you GTI owners!

            Whatever have I started?

My guess from what r32 uberwagen has said is that the wreck will probably appear on an auction site soon, ready for someone to purchase and strip the parts off it.

                      He's after one

You possibly may have done better to buy the wreck back from the insurer and flog the special bits off.

I agree.. parting would probably return some good $$

Would be interesting to follow this wreck, it may end up with an auction house onthe East coast

So i understand about how the engine blew up now, but who the hell keyed the car on both sides? its really really pissing me off lol. Plus one of the rims were broken so i bought a whole set of orginal rims with tyres just in case
