got a quote from vw ozzy park, $17,900 for a new engine + fitting

theres got to be an another way, otherwise its a write off!!

What about a 4 motion block bored out to take the R32 pistons, assuming they aren't damaged?????

I can see how the money adds up though, the PO of my S3 spent 10000 on the engine at Audi.

I'd be getting the ETKA printouts and seeing what, if anything is different.

Speak to Bug Racer (Seb) on here, there is an unused crate engine from the R32 Procar available that the last time I asked was going for around $2500.00

Seb knows who has the motor (as well as the old cars) and the last I heard the engine and cars were still available.

Well the whole car (white one) is available for around 25K last I asked, the engine in it needs a bit of refreshing but it has the special intake from Germany. Then there is the crate engine and when I enquired there were the associated spares, springs etc that came with the car. All in all it's a pretty decent package for someone looking for a track car, the reason I didn't buy it was it couldn't be registered with limited use or rally rego due to the scheme it was imported under.

well, is all over now... actually a couple of months ago, #88 is a write off and has gone to the great auction house in the sky. keep your eyes open, my baby had plenty of good parts on her, and the interior was in mighty fine nick.

theres always good news tho, weve got a new r!
