    You can just swap out the bit with the broken hook on it.

    If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

      i'm not after to replace the broken hook, i'm buying the key as a spare. i'm avoiding to pay $600 for a spare key.

        I know it doesnt help you, but there was a place somewhere in footscray that cut mk4 keys. I cant remember the name of it for the life of me cost my 15$ and I have a key that can open my car doors but not drive as it doesnt have immobiliser chip They did it by code. So I would suggest phone vw and ask them where you can get it cut. They should know, ask a few if the first one doesnt help.
