Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Updates
Before DOVW09 trying on dads euro plates before he put them on his CC
Coilovers and front adjustable whiteline sway bar in
additional lowering (pics don't do the height justice so i tried to do some next to a standard ford)
Stock wheels are on as the A8s hit the strut on the front coilovers due to having the wrong offset vs wheel width with my set up
This height is with a few threads left in the rear and the fronts have between 1.5 and 2 inches remainingLast edited by dylan8; 28-12-2009, 11:27 AM.

this is the top of one of my existing struts that we managed to destroy
I've since decided to keep the car. (thanks to all those who posted on my poll).
I've got a boot liner and new floor mats.
I will be fitting new wheels and smoked indicators.
If all is still well then getting the panels resprayed that had been damaged by a tree falling on my car, and fixing the air con (it smells amazing...)
New wheels on the way:
they are 17x7 and 17x9 BBS RS
the rears will poke a cm or so and I'm undecided on if i want to have the fronts flush with the arches or just inside the line of the arches... but will update when there on and done

I acutally found i can fit another .5 of width up front easy, and another inch i think between the wheel and the shock out back. If i end up re building them to 18s this and some more rear dish are in order!!
