What have you done to your mk4 (golf/bora) today?

You know the bora badge is screwed in and has a hole at the rear in the boot? not just a recess like the mk4 golfs.

Yeah I took off the felt and went in from the back, might try playing with the ball joint again on Saturday.

Its pretty simple from memory. Unscrew back cover. unscrew badge, disconnect electrics, unclip something (maybe the ball joint you mention) and that is it.

The symptoms for me were running rough (for me it was rough on 2 out of 5 cylinders), lack of power, camshaft error code in ecu...

Timing chain tensioner has a sticky spot in it, so if oil pressure is slightly down (i.e. Car starting) the chain is not as tight as it should be... Need to order a new tensioner ($80 I just don't have at the moment)...

Thankfully, the tensioner can be changed from the outside of the motor and should be a 10 min job...
