bought it on EBAY.... has resolved the sticky left window! too bad it didn't cure the lock issue as well but for under 20 bucks shipping included from the US you can't really ask for more. Nice to get a bargain after dishing out serious coin for repairs/maintenance recently.

Which switch are you talking about? One of my window switches in the driver's door panel cluster of 4 sticks. Got quoted $100+ for a new one. Would love to replace it for $3.99 if it's the same one!

Just tonight installed some JOM coilovers to the gti. first impressions are great. not too harsh and hold the road very nicely to me. (only mildly lowered but loving how it looks and handles. will post a pic tomorrow after i was the car.

I put my alluminium ashtray cover, drink holder flap and socket cover on; haven't got around to doing the side pieces and the climatronic yet. Figured they'll take a bit more work to get on...

Paid for an airbag kit and intercooler.
Used my credit card.
To replace the blown bags and smashed cooler.

Fitted a shiny new Blue Thorium Widget, aka a Bailey DV30 Diverter Valve. Car isn't chipped yet, but I mean to replace all the things that break, THEN chip the car.

Yesterday actually, got it up on the ramps and checked that the fan external resistors were still in place and the bolts were tight, they were! Also fitted back the under engine splash guards including a new centre piece as the original was broken. Oh and while I was under there I cleaned off some oil on the bottom of the block, need to keep an eye on that to see if it is leaking or is just old oil there.

Scanned and documented the code for the blown front bags.
Fitted new front bags, module and clock spring.

Gotta say the GTI steering wheel has much beefier clips that hold the airbag in place, compared to 4 spoke wheels.
