        • is now over $250 out of pocket thanks to australia post damaging my new wheels not once, but twice!! pretty sure i am cursed when it comes to modifying my car. They have probably clocked up more km in transport then seconds i have enjoyed looking at them on my car

Thanks to Mike at Ajax wheels in melbourne for rolling it a second time at no charge even though he was not at fault

On a positive note, payment cleared from my paypal account for my adapters... It only took two weeks to go through...

              • I did the flapper mod on my R32. Ive used a zip tie to bend the hose and make it neat, and ive put a screw in the end of it...Just wondering...what do I do to the Metal nozzle that the hose was connected to? Do I just leave it as it is?

Probably just a good idea to put some electrical tape on it to stop it gunking up.

So covering the little hole on the metal nozzle doesnt do anything?

                    • That's just the entry to the chamber that controls the actual valve itself. It's the hose itself that is the vacuum line. Having that constantly sucking trying to create a vacuum will soon burn it out.

                      • You could just put a small bit of hose on it too with a screw if you just want to keep dirt/water out of it.

I had a rubber cap lying around that you can put over the end of a carby vacuum port, so it fitted perfectly.

The vacuum canister doesn't do anything once its disconnected.

The line from the solenoid must be blocked or the motor will burn out.

                          • With the flappper mod, is it ok to just pinch the hose up with a small clamp or similar? Do you have to disconnect it and block the the end of the hose?

I believe that as long as the clamp completely closes the hose off, that'd be fine.
                              Nothing to see here...

It's very difficult to do this. A normal hose clamp is too big and does not clamp it. I used a mini G clamp for a while but this damaged the hose and I had to cut it and block it off normally. Should have done this in the first place.
                                Cheers,
