Yeah I'd be interested to know as well as I need a spare key! I saw this new transponder chip on ebay, says it isnt used so can be programmed: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/VW-VOLKSWAGON...item27ac7bcce4

I've seen keys with transponders too, but quite often they are used, which is no good apparently.

You can get the remote case for about $20, so all up the key itself should only cost around $40

Apparently you can program the key yourself using VagCom?

          • Dropped it into Michael to have the following done.

Install dry break fuel coupling as required for Mt Buller Sprint, Targa Wrest Point and Targa Tas so they can take fuel samples as per the supp regs
Install H&R wheel studs and nuts to replace wheel lugs
Install Pagid RS 4-4 Pads and Motul race fluid
Slot spare set of front and rear rotors
General inspection of all hoses, fluids and torque of all subframe bolts , overall inspection and prep for upcoming rallies before it gets shipped off in the middle of November.
After this work is done take it to Leda Suspension for setup and corner weighting.

                            • Aero Wiper Install

I got to work putting on the Aero Wipers I got from Fuzion...

Got the drivers side one in fine, but after unscrewing the nut holding the other one in, the damn wiper won't budge! I tried WD-40 and give it gentle taps and wiggling it...but it still wont move (its like its the rust has built up between it and the 'bolt'). I didnt want to try pulling too hard, as I heard that you can easily damage the wiper mechanism underneath etc...

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions that might help me out?

                              Cheers,

                              Ben

                              • wiggle it and jiggle it around.. it'll eventually come off.
