          • You live low, how'd you manage this one?

Touch wood I haven't smacked my one yet. Front is around 70mm off the ground which means I cannot get even close to a kerb/wheel stopper. Just as well I have a small ass so I can sit back in the parking spot.

            Sorry to hear bro!
At least you got a few goodies to keep you going.

            • daaamn!!
the worst damage i have done was bent the exhaust tip out of shape on a previous car but that wasn't too bad and s straightened up sweet as being chrome plated steel.
hope it doesn't cost too much to replace?
and I am sure a P plater will take it off your hands for a good price

              • My front end is free of any "MOAR LOW" damage, but my back end has faired so well. My exhaust tips scrape on big driveways and push up on the rear bumper. As a result I have a nice 1" crack in the expensive Oettinger rear valance. Sideskirts were also damaged but a telstra cable manhole so it's on the "I'll get that fixed one day" list.

                Damn you lowered cars >.<

                • $180-220 for a new one last time I checked.

I had to get into a rather tight carpark quickly. I knew where the wheel stop was, but the car next to me had hit it in the adjacent carpark which had snapped it off and rotated it down my carpark. something I failed to see when pulling in.

front lip would have been close to 100mm off the deck at the time so lows weren't really a part of it.

its got marks on and above the lip on the paint work where iv hit bigger things driving on highways out in the country (koalas, cats, foxes, pieces of rubbish on the road). But this just got very twisted up before I realised what was going on.

Id love to do a GLI lip or something even more oem+ but have a feeling my car is already to low to fit it on 18s and im planning on getting another inch or more out of the front

                      • Fixed my wipers. Was so seized I couldnt move it out of the car the access one of the motor bolts...
Don't think if seen my wipers move this fast in years!
Just for reference there is a number of different mk4 wiper motors in aus, not only design but different electrical connector, the mechanism seems to be the same though and compatible on both motors I found.

New air filter and cleaned out all the gunk in the bottom of the air box.
Left my jack in bairnsdale so oil change will have to wait.

                        • Pulled off the bumper and removed and cleaned my oil cooler.
Bout a third of a cup of oil.
Took ages but I'm no mechanic.

                            • What have you done to your mk4 (golf/bora) today?

Got more lows today on my Bora.

That's what I get for letting my wife put on the spare. Jokes! She did a good job of changing it with the widower maker and also taking off the adapter..

Just a friendly reminder to change your space saver's tyre at least once every 12 years!!!

EDIT: Actually it was probably due to rubbing on the inside, hence the smoke while I was driving...................................
