                  • went to install my new FMIC today, but realised that there is a hole/bung missing on the pipe coming from the turbo.. there's one there that goes to the Diverter Valve, but not the small one for the pressure reg/n75j valve.. I've been looking up how-to's, and basically, people are either getting them aluminium welded at a workshop for $$, or using 'JB Weld' which is like an epoxy..

So.. Is it OK to just use JB Weld? It would probably be the easiest for me (I think I can get it at Jaycar).. Or should wait and go to a workshop/muffler place on Monday, and pay someone to aluminium weld it properly?

Pic of JB Weld being used on the smaller plug going to the n75j etc (on the far left):

                    • Just leave the tap/connection on and seal it using a piece of hose then clamp it. Also you can get a bolt same thread and use that to seal it with some thread tape.

                      • I did a temporary job on Anthony's Polo with a brass fitting like that from Bunnings. I got the nut to and when bolted up tight it squished the pipe down a touch. With a fibre washer either side it wouldn't leak.

I also crimped the threads, to make it lock the nut, but you could drop some thread lock on it.

                        • Gave it a wash and a wax. Found some paint defects from the panel shop I've never had any issues with these guys previously (about 5 times), guess it will have to go back. I pray they fix it without fuss.

Sorry, should have clarified, those pics are not of mine, they are of a DIY on vortex, where he drilled the hole himself, sourced a brass plug/nipple, and then JB Welded it in.

Mine is totally blank tube where I need to somehow make something to attach to the n75 thin hose, like he has.

Gavin, I'll have a look at bunnings tomorrow to see what they've got..

pics of your mount location? I like the US console but dunno what i'd do with fuel release.
