Replacment OEM r32 front bar painted and installed Saturday morning.

Sigh another day another $1.3k bill (minus about $800 due to my own part order sigh). Which didn't really solve anything. All it did was prove that more money needs to be spent to fix this problem. Turns out the sensors fine but the signals getting lost somewhere so my mechanic has to sit down and look through wiring diagrams and pull the interior to pieces to find what's wrong. He's suggesting the instrument cluster is probably the cause so if anyone has a second hand one ill be interested.
Why oh why do i have to like cars and not something cheap like kites or something....
Oh well, Here's the rest of the weeks job!

My mech got me a genuine thermostat for $62 with a 40% discount making it $37.50 woo!
my gfs polo was having all sorts of problems, lead back to the cluster dying. when we tested another it worked fine

The UPS man came by my house today and with a big smile said "More car parts for ya, sign here"
So next Wednesday the fitting begins.

UGH! 2 days to strip down my engine only to find absolultly no cause for the timing chain noise and that for some messed up reason there is a different model of 24v in between the two and that the timing chain kit i brought wont fit. Well time to see if i know how to put it back together.....

I'm officially a broken man thanks to my car.......
its soul destroying and demoralising me at the moment. It shouldn't take 6+ unsuccessful hours to fit a tranny.
