think its ok as long as its not a layer applied to the lense, and the lights show the right colour/brightness.
most hella lenses are fine (although im sure a cop would pull you over for it if hes having a bad day)
They're actually closer to clear lights, and I think they're quite awesome for what I wanted. They made the car another step closer to NOT giving it up for a GTI...
Schoona, who I bought them off, he was nice and honest enough to let me know they had fogged up on him before with condensation etc. It's now been raining in Syders for a fair bit of the last 24 hours, and they seem fine. Thanks Schoona!
If I did sell this smokey grey beast to get a gti, the lights and wheels would be best coming with me I guess. Damn I wish they made a mk4 gti in dark grey! This thing can be dirty as and still look good until you really look for it. The black shows up that much dirt that I'd even consider white.
Dark Grey Mk4 Golf, 1.8T GTI conversion, APR stage 1, stock air intake, FMIC, 3" to 2.5" Exhaust, FK AK Street Coils, Black 18" (Avant Garde M310's ?), tinted tails, ...
What technique did you use on the head light ?
As for the map light id say the switch contact is a bit corroded. Try pulling it out and have a look. Maybe is just needs a bit of a clean-up.

Bought a kit from Autobarn for the headlights which cost $40 and comes with sandpaper, polish and a sealant. I was also looking through receipts from the previous owners services and found they had been done once before for $90 each
I'll go take a look at the switch now, thanks!
