What have you done to your mk4 (golf/bora) today?

In the process of colour matching the valances on the golf. Hopefully all goes well. *fingers crossed*

Spent the better half of the day trying to get this thing to fit over my intercooler

Front valance is looking ace. Was a bit sceptical doing it DIY but the results are great, deffinatly worth it. (will tackel the rear valance next weekend.


Also got around to installing the new south performance bost guage and coloum mount, Very OEM look about it.


Also changed low beam, high beam and fog light over to phillips crystal visions.

After installing the Hella smoked tail lights (bought from someone on this forum), I put in a pair of Philips X-Treme vision low beam globes up front to replace the one dead one....

Hi Stotto. U DIY painted ur front valence? That really looks good. Was it a rough face plastic molding or flat before? I was really contemplating doing some spray painting myself on my ugly black plastic side moldings and front and rear bumpers. But really fear making a mess out of it and then paying more to get it fixed. Was it hard?? How long did it take u?

One thing, what do these mods stand for in your signature, I see them around, but haven't figured these ones out yet:
"APR R1 dv" and "N75J"

BMP - black magic pearl
APR R1 is the revision 1 diverter valve (IIRC)
N75J is a boost control solenoid thingy ?

1. Thanks, I'll try and remember those.

2. haha, there you are, you found them pretty quick. Yeah, those visually smoothed out the whole back of the car way better than I had imagined. I've cleaned the area and bolted them on quite well, so I'll just have to see if any condensation appears now. If it does, I'll just have to cut them open and silicone them back up, but that'll let me get at that white writing, which is putting me off anyway.

Yeah no probs, just wanted them gone (got mk3, 4 and 5 parts all around lol) and couldn't be bothered resealing them myself considering I wanted OEM ones anyway.

Yeah schoona is right Apr r1 is a diverter valve and the n75J is a boost control solenoid the J revision is different to the stock one.
