well the clearance tool ecs provided clears inside of bellhousing, some marks inside but from when gearbox was installed last. will put flywheel back on then install gearbox to see if it spins, then pressure plate. although the pressure plate was hard to come off at the bottom so maybe could possibly be that.

Couple of quick questions
Are you putting the bolt in to hold the throwout bearing in position during installation? (The one you take out again afterwards)
Is clutch friction plate installed correct way around?PM if you are looking for: R32 rear sway bar; R32 suspension springs; Euro Headlight switches

throwout bearing fits on spindle in the bellhousing? im using the allignment pin for the clutch and flywheel.
yea its all fitted correct way ( couldnt really get them the wrong way)

I meant to say the arm that pushes the throwout bearing (#7)..it can tip out of position.
That would jam the assembly and stop the engine rotating.PM if you are looking for: R32 rear sway bar; R32 suspension springs; Euro Headlight switches

i had to replace #6 as the cap cracked on the old one. now does the bottom dip on the fork actually sit on #6 when installing?
