  • Thanks, one of those could come in handy.

Well had my 205,000km service done as well as a split cv boot.
Turns out my struts had managed to wiggle free of the spindels as slide .5" or a so through... Not sure how or what caused it as the struts have been in there for ages. Was good to have a look under the car while the suspension was underload on the 4 poster

      • i reckon that would be the right part mate.

Have a look on your engine and see that the plug is the same shape and if it is order it up.

        • I just installed a set of rear Megan control arms on my 04 .:R32 Rear alignment was off -2 on left side. These corrected it in a big way!

          Megan Racing

Done a good bit of reaserch and these will stand up with ECS controll arms but cost 1/3 amount less
          Volkswagen R32 MKIV 3.2 > Suspension > Camber Kits > ES#2497384 Blue Adjustable Rear Control Arms - Pair - 107GRVBLUE

I also installed a full set (front & back) Akebono ceramic brake Pads

The OEM pads were dusting ridiculous

Been looking at these keen on some reviews of how they perform, so sick of cleaning my wheels, and doing whatever i can to drive around and NOT using the brakes. haha

                      • I replaced the passenger door body seal today. The fabric part came away years ago, i re-glued then and made a mess. I guess it finally pissed me enough to do it this week.
Now I can see how dirty the headliner and pillars really are.

Looks sweet though - mine could use the same treatment after a few anonymous errant car park dingles. Seems the more knocks you get, the less care people take ...

                          • Are you able to claim multiple 'car park scrapes' in one insurance claim? Seeing as none of them of their own would warrant making a claim, but as a group, it gets to the stage where it needs to be fixed.. ?

                            • Will doo the true test will be in 6 months when its time to get the alignment done again. If it hold and keeps the original setting then it's all good!

I'm pretty sure that each 'event' has to have its own claim.

I know that one insurance company wouldn't fix damage on a mates car because of pre-existing damage. Instead they paid him what they would have spent and let him sort it out.
