Rears wear faster than fronts, thats normal.

That's not normal at all. Maybe the fronts had already been replaced if you bought the car 2nd hand? about 80% of your braking is done at the front on a FWD car.

$230 for rotors - what brand were they? and are you talking about each? any good? Mine's approaching 70k and slow braking causes discs to squeal. Might need to check how much the pads have left on 'em.

Yeah front brakes take most of the punishment in any car (going forwards anyway ).

I can't believe how expensive the rotors are on these! I have slotted fronts at the moment that will need to replaced in the next couple of months. Argh more money...

only problem with ebc greenstuffs u need to heat them up, your better off with black stuff or not EBC altogether.. great pads but if your doing a bit of punching around and not tracking even the stocks pull up better.

In the Vr I have red stuff at the front and green stuff at the back there pretty good and handle well.

Green stuff will do your car justice as red is a little more wearing on the rotors!

I find the greenstuff pulls up just fine in everyday driving. Maybe its just the slotted combo that makes it feel better than stock, or knowing they cost a bit of $$$. Yes they do get better at speed.

I was thinking about the yellows but that would be difficult to keep the heat in to use them especially in emergency braking.

My Reds still need a warm up or two but they can be used in an emergency from start.

I would say use the greens they are a decent purchase and a good set of pads!

Green pads + slotted rotors = win.
