Intercoolers be supporting mods, not power mods - thus is pretty negligable. Issue will more likely be that you'll need to drop off a few pounds boost, because a smaller cooler might mean pinging/detonation at current boost levels.

Quite a lot I'd think that front mount is huge I'd look to the tex before doing anything like that and finding out from them what are your options I think you can get away with it with a r32 bar

HAHA i dont want a r32 bar to many $$$ i want it to be more drivable, so i wont have to worry about ripping the kit off on every bump.

That bodykit is your worst problem it adds another 3" to the bottom get rid of that and add the r32 front and then drop it simple.

sounds right to me smaller cooler = more boost = less psi drop by have a large fmic.

id also say it is a supporting mod.

if you've got a decent intercooler you'll have less than half a psi boost drop. bigger intercooler means colder air which means more dense air which means more oxygen which means more power. smaller intercooler wont be able to cope with such huge psi and flow and wont cool the air properly and you'll be back to k03 speed.

This is why I said it's a supporting mod. More boost means you need a better cooler to keep the air cool and prevent detonation - hence the cooler is a supporting mod for larger turbo and more boost.

Thus, as I said before, a smaller cooler will be fine, but you'd have to run less boost as the efficiency of the cooler will be less due to smaller size. The cooler won't lower the power, the lower boost will.

adrian, if your willing to spend the $$ to change a few things to make it driveable maybe think about diff coilovers to possibly raise it a bit more?

you can alternatively just check vwspeed.co.uk and order in some body parts.. but its not cheap but u already know that! otherwise fibreglass copies are around in syd these days!
