Bora v6 4motion high pressure power steering line

Hi Guys,

I've had a local shop make up a replacement line for me, it's the high pressure one from the pump to the rack. They've used Flexor 1AT/1SN SAE 100R1AT Minetuff specification pipe with an internal diameter of 10mm and rated to 2610PSI.

My question, ive no issue with the pressure rating but the internal diameter seems a bit large, anyone know the OE specs?

The OE part is 1JO422893DM but I can't find any detail on it. My steering is noisy, no leaks, new genuine pump, rack feels fine and doesn't leak.

Can't cut your old one up Steve to measure the internal diameter?

10mm sounds too large to me also.

Unfortunately not, the shop binned the original hose. I've bitten the bullet and ordered the genuine part...... $440 😭

Update. I purchased a genuine high pressure line from VW, very expensive at $440! But I now have smooth silent steering 😁. Very happy.
