I own an Australian delivered 2004 mk4 golf Gti 1.8t and am looking for a stage 2 ecu what I want to know is if I can run my car on a ”06A 906 032 kc made in Mexico“ ie. this (VW MK4 Golf Jetta GTI 06A906032 1.8t Stage 2 tuned ECU+ Immo + 2Step+SAI+CAT DEL | eBay) even though mine comes with a “06A 906 018 CH made in Germany” I’m told it’s plug and play but I want to make sure

Different engine code therefore won't work. AGU engine code runs drve by cable and every other 1.8t 20v runs drive by wire. -

On this occasion it's completely wrong
The KC ecu comes from a 2003 Mexican VW beetle with a 6 speed auto hahaha
BDC reference is a 2ltr engine aswell...
I dunno what's going on here.

Really? I bought an AQ stage 3 ecu from Lito with his turbo and it ran like **** with my 1.8t. Turns out my didn't have cruise but the ecu was meant for a car with cruise so Im assuming because mine was a converted 1.8t that was the issueOriginally posted by Sirocco20348 View PostComment

As for your troubles with the ecu, was it a JBS Custom Code stage 3 tune from Gavin?
Strange you had such bad luck with it. Should have worked just fine if you were using all the similar mods Lito had.

Also If I put a boost controller on the pressurised line before n75 valve effectively restricting how much boost it sees I get allowing me to run higher pressures so it won’t put me into limp home mode. what is a safe range of psi I can run before the factory ecu starts to lack the capability to compensate for leaning out?
