  • considering exhausts for my v5 atm...not sure wether to go after market or custom. I can get a custom stainless setup built for $900ish. A Remus cat-back will set me back around $1300 apparently from a local installer.

Honestly, the custom built one will probably be close to the remus as long as it's well fabricated from decent materials - good welding, mandrel bends and decent resonator/muffler and it'd be great. Spend the $400 on something else

      • cheers for the advice Manaz. The exhaust shop said they could make any style I wanted and could achieve a variety of sound and had examples in the shop too so they certainly seemed confident they could set me up with something very similair to the Remus. Think I'll go down that path when the time comes!

I paid around $110 delivered, though that may have been on special.

GSLRally Sport are good, Greg will sort you out there. Be aware that A1RMs are quite an aggressive pad, and you will need to consider their characteristics and whether they're suitable for your requirements - the HPX pads may be better suited to regular street use, but talk to Greg about that anyway!

              • (resisted using the dancing bananas that it).

Scanned my car this morning, I have a few "intermittent supply voltage" issues, an intermittent flapper motor issue and apparently an open circuit on a rear speaker (yet the speaker works fine).

                  • Current thinking is that the open circuit on rear speaker is actually for a sub that's not fitted. Wonder where the wiring is for that...

pretty sure mine is gone too, but there is no error code. AC fluctuates when on fresh air and there a weird ticking noise from behind the glovebox. When I put it on recirc it works fine though....they arent expensive thankfully, but a pain to replace from what I have read.

I get the same annoying noises! I just put the stereo UP. The other way around that i found is just turn on the fan and then turn it off, seems to "fix" it temporarily

have you tried switching it to recirc cos that fixes it for me? I can turn it on, hit recirc and then turn it off (or leave it on) and the noises stop. But yes, the radio fixes those annoying noises too

Might have to organise a GB on this item as I started a thread last year and there were quite a few people with the same issue.

I found the item here for $84US http://www.urotuning.com/shop/contro...ic-p-2385.html

ECS want $177 for the same item

But like you said earlier, its a true huge PITA to get to the unit and replace the faulty bit!

                            • yeah I'm going to attempt it though and if I cant complete it I'll take it to someone who can - I'd imagine the part from urotuning will be much cheaper than anywhere else. ECS has it for $177 so I'd hate to see what a stealer would charge!

Yeah, i'll probably be in for this group buy if it happens. I still haven't gotten around to replacing mine. I've got a second hand compressor waiting to go in too...
